Description:	Afton Mountain Vineyards is one of Virginia's pioneer farm wineries. Our original vines were planted in 1978 and '79 and our Cabernet Sauvignon vines are among the oldest in Virginia. Our vineyards lie on the southeastern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains at 960 feet in a setting of sublime beauty and excellence of terroir, that elusive fusion of sun, earth, air and water which Europe's "noble" wine grapes need to thrive.
